This is a rather difficult chord, the Fmaj7 will take a lot of practice! Place the tip of your index on the first fret of the E string, after that the middle goes on the second fret of the G string. The tough part is using the ring finger for the third fret of the A string and the pinky for the fourth fret of the C string. Getting the pinky up there will be hard and it will cause the ring finger to move also, as they are not easy to move independent of one another. And besides stretching you need to watch that you are not muting the nearby strings. Don’t expect to get it right away as it likely will require some muscle training and practice to have better movement in those digits.
