How to play the F on your ukulele The F major is one of the easier ukulele chords to play with just two fingers. The index is placed on the first fret of the E string and the middle goes on the second fret of the G string. Make sure the top finger joints are perpendicular so you don’t accidentally touch the C and A strings, otherwise it will cause the notes to sound muted or dead.
